We may disclose aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, subject to applicable law and contractual restrictions.
6. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
Select does not intend to sell personal information for money. However, some state privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly and may treat certain advertising or analytics disclosures as covered activity even when no money is exchanged.
-
If Select engages in activity that applicable law treats as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, eligible individuals may opt out through the method identified in Section 12 and any required "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" or equivalent link.
-
Where legally required, Select will process recognized opt-out preference signals.
-
Select does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 without the authorization required by law.
Operational confirmation required: identify every analytics and advertising tag on the Site and determine whether a sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising opt-out link is required.
7. Payment Information
Select may use third-party payment processors to handle payment card transactions. Payment information provided to a processor is subject to that processor’s privacy and security practices. Select should collect and retain only the payment information reasonably necessary for business, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes.
Do not submit sensitive payment or government-identification information through an unsecured email or form unless Select specifically requests it through an approved secure channel.
8. Email, SMS, and Other Communications
We may send transactional or relationship communications about accounts, orders, delivery, customer service, product safety, recalls, and other ongoing business matters. Where permitted, we may also send promotional communications.
-
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message.
-
For covered text-message programs, reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency may vary.
-
Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
-
Opting out of marketing does not prevent permitted transactional, relationship, product-safety, recall, or account communications.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for no longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, maintaining accounts, documenting transactions, complying with tax and accounting obligations, managing recalls and product-safety matters, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud, and meeting legal requirements.
Retention depends on the information type, sensitivity, purpose, legal requirements, operational need, and whether the information is needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Select should maintain a written retention schedule and securely delete or deidentify information when it is no longer needed.
10. Data Security
Select uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, destruction, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Safeguards may include access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, secure service providers, monitoring, backups, employee training, and incident-response procedures.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Individuals should use unique passwords, protect account credentials, keep contact information current, and notify Select promptly of suspected unauthorized activity.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for business customers and is not directed to children under 13. Select does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If Select learns that it has collected such information without legally required parental consent, Select will take appropriate steps to delete it.
If information about a minor is provided in connection with a lawful business purpose, Select will handle it in accordance with applicable law.
12. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, the law that applies to Select, and applicable exceptions, you may have one or more of the following rights:
-
Know or access the personal information Select collects, uses, or discloses;
-
Correct inaccurate personal information;
-
Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
-
Obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
-
Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
-
Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information;
-
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
-
Appeal a denial of a privacy-rights request where state law provides an appeal; and
-
Receive equal service and not be unlawfully discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.
To submit a request, email sales@selectcorporation.net with the subject line "Privacy Request," call (214) 350-8484, or use any privacy-request form published on the Site. Describe the right you wish to exercise and the state in which you reside. Select may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity and authority. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted, subject to verification requirements.
Select will respond within the period required by applicable law. If Select denies a request, Select will explain the basis where required and provide appeal instructions when applicable. Certain information may be exempt, including information needed to complete transactions, maintain records, detect fraud, protect security, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims.
13. Consumer Health Data
Select sells over-the-counter, health and beauty, and related products, but purchasing a product does not necessarily reveal a health condition. Select does not intend to infer, collect, or process consumer health data beyond what is reasonably necessary to fulfill a request, process a purchase, meet safety or recall obligations, or comply with law.
If Select collects information that applicable law treats as consumer health data, Select will provide any separate notice, consent, authorization, deletion right, or other protection required by law before collecting, sharing, or selling that data. Select does not intend to sell consumer health data.
Operational review required: confirm that search terms, product browsing, purchase history, customer-service records, surveys, loyalty activity, pixels, and advertising tools are not used to infer health status. If they are, a separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy may be required.
14. Do Not Track and Opt-Out Preference Signals
Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" settings. Because no universal standard applies to all Do Not Track signals, the Site may not respond to those signals. Where applicable law requires recognition of an opt-out preference signal, Select will process a compliant signal as legally required.
15. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may link to websites, apps, social media, payment services, shipping services, or other platforms operated by third parties. Select does not control and is not responsible for third-party privacy, security, content, or practices. Review the privacy notice of each third party before providing information.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Select may update this Policy to reflect changes in practices, technology, services, or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date will be revised when changes are posted. Select will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes when required by law. A prior version may be requested using the contact information below, subject to availability and legal requirements.
